Denim is sold by fit as much as by size. Here is what each cut does, and who it tends to suit.
Straight-leg
A clean line from hip to hem, with room through the leg.
Slim fit
Close through the thigh and leg, with enough stretch to move.
Wide-leg
A relaxed, open leg that falls straight from the hip.

Wash less often, wash cooler, and let the garment dry in the air. Those three habits do more for a pair of jeans than anything else.
- Wash denim inside out, on a cool cycle, with similar colours.
- Skip fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the finish.
- Hang or lie flat to dry; tumble drying shortens the life of the fabric.
- Press on a low setting, or steam, to keep the shape of the seams.
- Always follow the care label sewn into the garment — it takes priority over any general advice on this site.

Measure your waist and hip at home, then compare them with the body measurement chart in our sizing guide. The size of jeans you already own is a useful cross-check.
How long does delivery take?

Can I return an item if the fit is wrong?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return unworn items in their original condition, and exchanges for another size in the same style are straightforward.
